Since realizing that I had an audience for my insights on Japanese soccer (and, broadly, Japanese sports), my goal has been to shine a light on a part of the sports world that I’ve felt hasn’t gotten enough attention over the years, even as Japanese athletes have increasingly made an impact on the global stage in their sport of choice.
